Hella Jongerius

Born in Meern, Netherlands in 1963, this innovative designer incorporates high tech contemporary with a traditional earth bearing essence. After studying design at the Industrial Design Academy in Eindhoven, she became an international attraction through her work for the Dutch design label Droog Design. Teaching at Design Academy in Eindhovaen from 1998-99 she later headed the department Living/Atelier from 2000-2004. While she shared her wealth of knowledge, in 2000, she founded the design studio JongeriusLab in Rotterdam.
