DesignReasons sells Jean Prouvé Standard Chair, a high-end aerodynamically designed spark of style visualized as modern but truly an antique in its creation. 1934.
This high-end Standard Chair takes the most strain on their back legs, where they bear the weight of their user's upper body. Prouvé took this into account very succinctly in the Standard Chair. Tubular steel piping is enough for the front legs that take relatively little strain, whereas the back legs are made of voluminous hollow sections and pass the strain on to the floor. This Jean Prouve chair maintains its quality and appeal after all these years and that is one reason DesignReason has chosen to include this on our site.
MATERIALS Powder-coated sheet steel and round steel frame. Seat and backrest in untreated oak or oak with dark stain, varnished for natural wood effect.
